Art exhibition at Dr. Radhakrishan salai

The new exhibition space of Ashivita’s was located inside the campus of Seethapathy Clinic and hospital at Dr.Radhakrishan salai.
             This exhibition space was around 3000sq.ft which is before used to be it’s art gallery cum cafe is now renovated exclusively for exhibiting and auctioning a range of artwork’s of leading Indians artists who is specialized in Modern and contemporary arts.

        The new exhibition section is here to dedicated for the display of old rare books,tools, collector’s items and other ceramic vessels this items are which is listed at the chain’s online space.
         E.Rajagopalan  was  the founder of Ashivita’s who has been keen is promoting the visual art and culture of India since,2002 says that ‘Till now, people could only look and buy these items from our websites but in this section we wanted them to physically touch and feel the items which they want to buy.
          The team of Avishta’s also planning to host a number of art education programs and workshops at this place to encourage the young art enthusiastics.also he says that “During our exhibitions we have planned to hold art-walks of education programs for schools and college students across the city”.
          On 17th September, this art gallery was launched with an exhibition of Savage Nobles- where paintings and sculptures by India’s leading and globally recognized contemporary artists like Subodh Gupta,Bharti kher, jitish kallat, Thukral and Tagra and also L.N Tallus were showcased Peter Nagy was a curated, the show presents a rare opportunity to Chennai’s art enthusiasts practicers who are sellors exhibited in the city.
         Also there are some of the interesting art of pieces were exhibited now at the space like walls-works of Bharti kher made of colorful and unique bindis, oil painting of used brass vessels,and also a huge installation of Subodh Gupta’s steel kitchen utensils welded into a daily use water bottles.
        This exhibition will be on till Oct 15,at 4, second Street Dr.Radhakrishan salai mylapore.Open from Monday to Saturday from   11a.m to 7p.m.
