உடல் உறுப்பு தானம் செய்ய தயங்காதீர்கள்

 ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஆகஸ்ட் 13-ஆம் தேதி  உடல் உறுப்பு தானம் தினம் இந்தியா முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.  இந்த நாள் ஒவ்வொருவரின் வாழ்க்கையிலும் சிறந்த நாள், அவர்களின் விலைமதிப்பற்ற உறுப்புகளை தானம் செய்வதாக உறுதியளிக்க ஒரு சிறந்த வாய்ப்பை வழங்குகிறது.

Every night when the city becomes dark, it’s places like these that glitter like silver. A buttermilk stall which was started with just a TVS 50 bike is now gaining popularity among people. “Chetta buttermilk” is presently located at Greams road near Apollo Hospitals. The beauty of this shop is that, it opens at 10 in the night and will be open around 5:30 in the morning.

              In the past few years, Chennai’s nightlife has seen an enormous growth. Earlier people prefer to visit the beach, have their time passed at a pub and other activities of that sort. But nowadays this has changed. People prefer to have Tea or Buttermilk at night and this place has all of those needs under cover. 

      Rajan, commonly known as ‘Rajan Chetta’ is the owner of this place. When asked about how such a thought was born, he says “before this business, I didn’t have a stable workspace. I got the spark when I heard about a similar shop in Thiruvanmiyur, which exclusively served buttermilk throughout the night. I just gave it a try and it has worked out pretty well”. Rajan has been selling buttermilk during midnight for quite a while and has become a known name in his locality. 

      The way they serve Buttermilk is mouth-watering. They add a bit of spice by putting mango pieces and ‘Kara Boondi’ to it. They use a token system, so the consumer is advised to get a token for each serving of buttermilk. They also have every other kind of payment ranging from cash payment to the latest technologies such as Paytm, Google pay and other such online payment methods.

           “The business runs smoothly till everything is under control, but when something wrong happens, I’m the one who will be questioned. This is not as easy as it seems. We have to deal with all sorts of nuisance in the night. Youngsters often come in a drunk state and would create a problematic environment. I have to deal with the Police officials when something of this sort happens here” he further added.

          This shop is not only for youngsters but also for families as well. Upon observation, weekends are usually packed with families and this has become a good hangout spot for them.

Rishi, who had come with his   family says “I would visit this place at least once every two weeks. For a change I’ve brought my family along with me as this would be a different experience for them”. This place not only serves butter milk but also a variety of consumables such as Rose milk, Badam milk, Puffs and so on.

            Moreover, the items are extremely pocket friendly, with the rates starting from just Rs.20. People are willing to travel long distances to reach this place because of their presentation, taste and availability of consumables throughout the night. Even if the buttermilk gets over, they refill it so that people won’t leave disappointed.

                This can be certified as such a place which guarantees fun and fulfilment when we have a visit. Go for it!

The People of Chennai are for the abrogation of article 370

I have asked the opinion of about 10 people in Chennai about their opinion about the abrogation of article 370 that gives special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This special status has been revoked by the Indian government without any consent from the government in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The people of Kashmir should have been given a chance to voice their opinion on the issue and it is wrong to do remove the special status without their concern” says Bhuvana, a Housewife.

“I don’t know anything about this issue,” says Ellappan, a construction worker.

“The government shouldn’t have forced its hand upon the people of Kashmir. They should have been consented by the government before taking any decision in this issue” says Rohini, a Ph.D. student.

“The government took the right chance to abrogate the special status is given to the people of Jammu and Kashmir” says Arul.

“This is the right path for India taken by the government to move forward and I support the government in this” says Ruben, a business man.

“This a right move because the government has taken this step to lessen the terrorism and resist Pakistani’s from entering India. Though it will be tough for the people of Kashmir at first it is a right move” says Vinodh, MBA graduate

“Because of 370, there was a difference in India. Now because of this abrogation, India has become one and this would cause the economy to rise tenfold in the coming years as it would lessen the cost spent on defense in Kashmir” says Kothari, a merchant.

“This is the correct move by the government and the Kashmir people will get many benefits in the long term” says Prabhakaran

“Frankly I didn’t know about article 370 until yesterday, I came to know about it today only and I think it is a right move as the people of Kashmir and the economy of Kashmir will flourish in the long term. The lockdown in that area is also just a precaution against bloodshed” says, Antony, a Chartered Accountant.

“It’s a proud and bold step by the government to make India as one and whole” says a techie.

Chennai Citizen's view on Article 370

The abrogation of Article 370 and 35A has made Jammu Kashmir lose its special status. This move by the Modi government has made many of the people of India raise their voice against this decision of the NDA government. 

   So, here are the opinions of some of the citizens of Chennai. 

    "This decision taken by the Modi and Shah is a better stronger move that many of the rulers were not capable of including Nehru", said a tourist from Harayana. 

     The saddest part is that many of the people don't know what's Article 370 and they refused to talk about the issue. But, even one who is well aware of the issue considers this as the pride of our country and Modi as the savior of Kashmir.

     Mohammad, a pedestrian said that Article 370 was the guardian for the people and land of Kashmir. But now the land is left free for the corporates and many others. minorities are the one who is always under fear, which is the case in Kashmir too. 

     Many refuse to understand and know about these issues, which will be a  concern only when it hits them.

Many people don't even know what is 'article 370'. Others are in a confusing or more of an ignorant stage. They can't even decide whether it is a good or a wrong move. The rest of the people think that the decision was correct but not the way it was implemented.

Article 370 gave a special status to the states of Jammu and Kashmir. The article 370 was revoked from the constitution of India by the NDA government on 5^th August, 2019. Here let us briefly see what people say about the article 370.

It is a good decision. We need to wait and see whether it is good or bad.” said, Bharatwaj from Sriperumpudhur.

Mr.Nadesan,Retired Pensioner from Mugaper said, “They should have passed it in the Parliament for discussion.”

“The governance will be left with the Central government instead of the State Government. It will be easy for the Central government to look into the issues of Defence ministry” says Thiyagarajan, Sales Executive, Kundrathur.

“By revoking the article 370 people of Jammu and Kashmir will lose their rights. The single majority government has taken away the personal rights of people. This shows the government is involving in Fascist politics. This government should be brought down.” says Ruben, College Student Poonamallee.

 “I don’t know, if you ask the educated people you may get answer” Paandiyan, Auto driver, Maduravoyal.

Murugan an Autodriver from Marina beach also said that they don’t know anything about the article 370.

“New rules and new laws each and every time by the present government is destroying peace in the society. It should be condemned.” said Sebastin a college student from Poonamallee.
